Google Art Project Instructions
(Creating Your Exhibition)
1. Go to Google Art Project
2. Sign in ( in the top right corner ) using your gmail account
3. Click on Collections

4. From Collections, pick a museum with artwork that you want to browse through
5. Next, click on an artwork that you think might fit your theme

6. Read details about the artwork on the left side of the page. You can zoom in on the art by using the zoom on the right of the page.
7. Take notes in your sketchbook on how the artwork relates to your theme. (give brief background information about the art, such as the artist, when it was created, what is the medium, etc.) Along with your notes, you can also sketch the artwork if you like.

8. To save an artwork to your collection of images, click on the + sign on the top left of the page. This will save your artwork in a collection to use for later. You can save as many artworks as you like, and then choose your favorites out of those for your exhibition.
9. When you are ready to create your exhibition, click on My Galleries in the top right corner

10. Click New Blank Gallery
11. Give your show a title ( you can use your theme for this ), and a description of the show

12. All of your saved artworks will be on the bottom of the page. Drag the artworks you want to use in your show to Drag a Saved Item Here.
13. Go back to My Galleries when you have assembled 10 pieces for your show
14. You can now look at more artwork, or log out of your Google account
15. When it is time to present, you will log onto your account on the classroom computer so that the class can view your show on the projector. You will tell the class your show title, and go through the artworks you chose for your show. When presenting, tell the class why you chose this artwork and how it fits your theme/title.
